Today I'm participating in the Brave Love Blog's Blogtember challenge and writing all about this season of life.
In this season of life, the majority of the time, I am known as Miss Nichols.
In this season of life, my weekdays are spent teaching some of the coolest kids in Selma, Alabama. I teach. I assist. I encourage. I counsel. I love.
And most of all, I pray each and every day that I can challenge and push each of the kids God has placed in my care to reach his or her full potential.
In this season of life, I savor every single moment with my family.
By this time next year I plan to be back in Africa, and won't be able to do all the things that I'd like to do things, like road trips with my mom...
...or zoo trips with my brother's family.
...or just hanging out with my nieces.
In this season of life, I never dreamed I'd be learning to live life without my dad.
But unfortunately, I am. And yes, it's hard. But thankfully, with a little faith and hope and a whole lot of prayer, I'm making it...
In this season of life, I'm thankful for friendships. For I know, they are truly gifts from God...
In this season of life, I'm preparing to head back to Africa.
I'm praying. I'm reminiscing through the memories of my time there before. And I'm waiting for God, in His truly perfect timing, to work out every tiny little detail to get me back there to do what He said I'd be doing.
And last, but certainly not least...
In this season of life, I'm studying God's Word like never before. I'm reading, journaling, and praying trough this book like it's going out of style...
