Lessons

Apparently my Southern accent has strengthened in the 16 1/2 months I've been back in the States.

People that say teaching Special Ed is easy are NOT Special Ed teachers.

We're all just big kids at heart. Some of us just take longer to reach our inner child than others.

The majority of the presidential candidates are rather disheartening.

A truly sincere compliment can make someone's day.

Killing a mosquito is oddly gratifying.

Alabama weather is so bizarre at times.

Children can be quite messy when eating.

Pizza day in the school cafeteria is one of the most popular days of the month.

The ability to multi-task well may be hard for some to master, but it is a good skill.

Complaining rarely gets anything done.

Noise cancellation headphones are a gift from God.

It's easier at times to judge, rather than learn from, a group of people different from us.

No two people experience grief in the exact same way.

Sometimes we should just stop talking and start listening.
